Description
Fuel farms are an efficient way to provide, store and dispense aviation fuels to multiple users at the airport. However, there are different ownership and operating model for achieving this objective. Analyzing the most appropriate model includes understand legal issues, safety and operational standards, risk assignment, environmental liability and other risk management issues, and insurance limits and structures, in addition to the various state, federal and local rules and regulations. This digest provides a practical guide to assist airport sponsors and their legal counselors in understand basic legal and operational issues and in evaluating the appropriate ownership and operating model at the airport.
