Description
On June 21, 2004 Spaceship One developed by Burt Rutan and his company, Scaled Composites, became the world's first commercial manned space vehicle. This is the sequel to the story of the development of Spaceship One. Describes Burt Rutan's quest to capture the elusive X Prize, a $10 million award for the first privately funded, non-governmental group to build a spacecraft capable of carrying three 6'2", 198-pound adults to an altitude of 62 miles twice in 14 days.
